Accounting and advisory

Owners make better decisions with numbers they can read and trust. We produce them, and we build the finance function that keeps producing them.

What we do

Management accounts

Monthly or quarterly accounts in a format an owner can actually read: what was earned, what it cost, where the cash went and what changed.

Financial statements

Annual financial statements prepared to IFRS or IFRS for SMEs, ready for the Registrar, your bank or your investors.

Outsourced finance

Bookkeeping, reconciliations and reporting for businesses that need a finance function but not yet a full in-house team.

Budgeting and forecasting

Budgets and cash flow forecasts built from how the business actually operates, and reviewed against actual results every month.

Finance function review

An assessment of people, process and systems in the finance team, with a practical plan to make it faster, cleaner and more reliable.

Lending and investment readiness

The groundwork a bank or investor will expect before due diligence: clean records, reconciled balances and credible forecasts.

Numbers you can make decisions with

Many owner-managed businesses only see proper accounts once a year, months after the period they describe. By then the decisions those numbers should have informed have already been made.

We aim for the opposite: accurate, regular reporting that arrives while it is still useful, from a finance process that is increasingly automated so it does not depend on one person working late.

How an engagement runs

Scoping

We establish what is actually required, by when, and what it will take. No proposal before we understand the operation.

Engagement letter

Scope, fee, timeline and responsibilities agreed in writing before work starts. You know the number first.

Fieldwork or build

Testing, preparation or development, with scheduled checkpoints rather than silence until delivery.

Report and handover

Findings, filings or a working system, plus the documentation your team needs to carry it forward.

Common questions

Which reporting framework do you use?

Financial statements are prepared under IFRS or IFRS for SMEs, depending on the size and nature of the business and what its stakeholders require.

Can you take over our bookkeeping completely?

Yes. We can run bookkeeping, reconciliations and monthly reporting as an outsourced finance function, and hand it back to an in-house team when you are ready.

If you prepare our accounts, can you also audit them?

Where we prepare a client's financial statements, any assurance work is performed by a separate engagement team. Where independence rules prevent both, we tell you before starting.

Planning an audit, a tax review or an automation project?

Send us a request for proposal. We reply with a scoped approach and a fee, not a sales call.
